CARS 2 at the drive in!

We went to the drive in this weekend to watch the eagerly anticipated movie Cars 2. Our neighbors granddaughter Hannah was visiting so we invited her to go along. It was Hannah & Brady's first drive in movie (and date). We met the Widener family there so Hannah actually had two dates - Brady and Sam.

Here they are acting out a scene from Mr. Popper's Penguins. Hannah and Sam are rapping "WORD" but Brady is looking more like John Travolta from Saturday Night Fever.

Posing for a picture with their weapons:

The first date picture!

They had a great time eating popcorn and cotton candy and drinking pop! Brady and Sam did not make it through the movie - fast asleep. Hannah was wide awake when we took her home at 11:15 pm. She and Brady were raring to go Saturday morning when she came over to play with Speedy. Brady has found out that Speedy is a chick magnet!

Go Tigers!

Brady is playing Recreation Department T ball and is a Tiger. He plays first base and is improving weekly! I am a horrible T ball mom - yelling, cheering and pacing. It is very exciting!

Here is Brady as the runner with Jack Pugh playing first:

Meet Speedy Gonzalez Roberts

Meet out new family member - Speedy Gonzalez Roberts. Someone dropped him off at our house - the louse. We fed him so he won't leave now. Brady LOVES him (or her - no one can decide what it is - guess we need to spay/neuter to prevent more cats!). I guess he can stay.....unless the owner comes by and picks him back up. How likely is that?

Class of 2011

Brady graduated from Pitter Patter Pathways Pre-School on Friday June 3. He and his classmates put on a show for the parents, received their diplomas and refreshments were served. I will admit that when I heard the song "Graduation Day" I had tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. A chapter that I have some control of in Brady's life is over!

"As we go on, we remember
All the times we had together
And as our lives change, from whatever
We will still be, friends forever"

I could cry thinking about the words!

Here is Brady posing on the stage:

This is Brady's friend Matthew. Matthew is crazy according to Brady - they have a lot of fun together.

Thanks to Sarah, Justin and all of the other teachers who have worked with Brady. He has come a long way! This is a happy/sad occasion!

Memorial Day Weekend 2011

The weekend started with a house guest.  Clooney stayed a few
days with us while Mom was in Gatlinburg with her sisters.  He was a perfect guest - not pottying in the house.  That is always a plus for a guest!

After our guest left, we went to Macados for supper on Saturday.  Brady had his usual - chicken tenders and goldfish crackers.

On Sunday Brady went to play golf with Nay, then they went to the lake and road the paddle boats.  When he got home we were blowing up the Cannonball waterslide.
Monday we are planting flowers and probably playing in the slip n slide again.  What a great weekend!

Bradyism's

#1)  Me:  Brady stop messing with that right now.  I am not going to tell you again.
Brady(softly to himself) starts singing "I AM IN MISERY"

I don't think he quite got the irony.

#2)  Brady:  "Mom, Right there is that chicken place that you went to eat at!"

It was actually the Black Rooster, the nicest restaurant in Marion!

St Jude Trike A Thon

Brady's daycare/preschool had their annual St Jude Trike a Thon today.  I Brady raised quite a bit of money again this year!  It is a great opportunity for kids to help kids.

We Brady had his last Little League game today, Rec League t-ball practice, then the Trike A Thon.   I thought he would be worn out - NOT SO!  He did not want to leave so he and Charlie stayed and I came home (I have some sort of a bug, that is why I am getting to blog!).

Brady and Maggie - she said that someone else was her boyfriend, though.

Brady and "Campbell" as they call him.  There are two Ethan's!

Ethan again.
