A DAY AT THE TRACK

We spent Friday at Bristol Motor Speedway.  It was Ford Fan Friday and was a good (cheap) day to let Brady experience Nascar.  He loved it.  We sat on the front stretch where we could see the crews work on the cars - and we got to see Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon out of their cars!

Brady - Ace Photographer

Here are a few pictures that our ace photographer, Brady Roberts, recently took:

Night at the Roberts' (almost as exciting as Night at the Museum)

Let me tell you about my nights. I have a four year old in the bed with me. Charlie has the good fortune of sleeping most of the night in the den, so he does not get kicked. When he does come to bed, he brings the dog with him. This morning I woke up at 5 to pee (I am almost 40 and I cannot sleep an entire night without getting up to go. 5 was doing good for me – it is usually about 2). I stepped on something that felt a little spongy – but I did not let my bare foot go all of the way to the floor. I decided to turn the light on and look (even though I did not want to know). Well, you guessed it – it was doggie poop. Four little douples. By this time, aforementioned husband and dog were back in the den sleeping. I could not yell about the poop. I cleaned up the carpet, Febreezed, took a shower and went back to bed with my hair wet. I had forgotten to turn my MP3 player on (it must be turned on for it to play music when the alarm goes off), so I over slept by about 40 minutes. Luckily, I had already bathed and my hair was almost dry.

The good news – I made it to town, dropped Brady off and went to Mcdonalds for our office tea fix of the morning and still made it to work by 8:35.

Happy Birthday Aunt Lindy!

Mom had a surprise birthday party for her sister Linda on February 19.  Linda and Mom are best friends and two of the ten Day Children.
Brady had a great time and, of course, loved the candles and cake!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! (belated!)

Mrs. Willie brought her little Valentines cupcakes for a party during Sunday School.  The boys had a great time smearing the icing on their faces.  Brady's face was stained for a few days!!  All in the name of love!

TOE JAM!

Whose toe is this?

Whose size 13 is too big for the boots at the ER?

Who gets chuckle from the nurses and doctors because they cannot tell which toe is broken because all of them are so crooked?

It is my little brother Jimmy!  A 1500 lb pallet of crushed cardboard ran over his toe!
