Let the remodeling begin - again!

We are buying the house that we are currently renting so the renovations have begun! I LOVE living in town and this house is small and cozy. Of course there are a lot of things that we would like to change. The most important change comes first.....

BRADY'S ROOM!
A baseball loving, camo wearing, bike riding, rough and tough army man/police officer cannot have a bedroom with flowered wall paper!

More pictures to come!  There are big plans for this little room!  Hopefully most of them will not happen or you will have to wear blaze orange to enter.

School - Day 2 and still smiling!

First Day of Kindergarten!

August 17, 2011.......a day that will go down in history as a monumental day in our lives.....the first day of kindergarten at Marion Primary School! (and out 21st wedding anniversary!)

Brady was pretty brave all in all. At first he did not want us to walk in with him. Then we could go in the gym. Then we could walk down the hall. Finally he told me that he wanted me to stay with him. (HEART BREAK) I told him that I couldn't and Charlie made me leave.

He rode the bus home to Wee Care. I just happened to be going to the bank for work (HA) when the bus pulled in. I stopped to ask how is day was and he said good and that he was going back. I asked if he wanted to go to Nay's, but Sam's mom offered to let him go home with them. Off he went to Sam's house with barely a good bye to me!

I am a little disappointed that he does not want to discuss his day with me minute by minute. I guess that is the difference between boys and girls. The one thing that he did tell me that was bad was that he got chocolate milk instead of white milk at lunch. Now he knows what the white milk carton looks like so he will not make that mistake again. (He is the only kid I know that would be sad about getting chocolate milk!)

I am glad that the first day of school is over. I need to go to bed now!

Day of Fun

We had a Day of Fun before school starts with Abbie, Aunt Jen and Aunt Cindy.  We went to the Hands On Museum, Chuck E Cheese's, the Johnson City Mall, Toys R Us, BK and Dairy Queen!

We had a great day. Brady and Abbie are already asking where we will be going before the first grade!

Life is a changin'!

Since my last post we put our house on the market, sold it, moved, mom has been in two different hospitals and Brady's daycare has closed! July was a heck of a month!

First, the house was put on the market June 27 and we had a contract on July 2! We put a bid on a house in town but it is a short sell and after four weeks we finally got an acknowledgement that our offer had be received - yes, only received. We have decided not to go that route. We are renting a house in town and so far (one week) I love it! I am close to work and can run home at lunch. We can run in and out if we need something. I have never lived in town before!

Mom has been sick. Thankfully after all of the tests it looks like her heart is fine and her stomach can be healed with medicine.

Pitter Patter closed on July 1. It was a wonderful place for Brady and I am so sad to see it close. A great friend of the family agreed to keep Brady and three of his friends for the summer. When school starts Brady and his friend Sam will ride the bus to the Lutheran Church's after school program.

We are in a small rental house in town. You could probably fit this house inside our old house, but I love it here. It is an older house with "old fashioned" hard wood floors and cabinets. Two downfalls - only one bathroom and the laundry is in the basement. If we decide to buy this house that can be easily solved with an addition.

T-ball season is over and I can honestly say that Brady absolutely loved it! He is already practicing for next year. He is really doing well with his catching.

Here are a few pictures from the past month:
